1947 -
Ostuni, founded by Adriano Ostuni in 1947 and located in Monopoli, Bari with the specific intent to compete with the big companies like Turin and Lombardi. To try and succeed he went to Turin and convinced engagements with a huge number of experts to follow battilastra in Monopoli, where undertaken the construction of a carryall or station wagon based on a Fiat 1100BL chassis . The car, the result of the excellent skills of the Ostuni stylist, was shown at the Fiera del Levante car show in Bari in 1949. All the feedback collected looked like it would be a good success, as to caused him to focus even more on top.
What is called the "first luxury car of the south" exhibited two cars at the Turin Motor Show the following year. Both were based on the Fiat 1100BL chassis and were a completely reworked carryall or station wagon compaired to the previous year. The vehicles were a 6-seater coupe with a whimsical shell that adorned the grille. The sudden death of the owner, however, put an end to a company that seemed to have everything together to achieve great success.
