1905 - 1921
STAR (Società Torinese Automobili Rapid) was founded by Giovanni Battista Ceiranos in Turin. The company was in business from 1905 to 1921 and under the brand name Rapid launched modern four-cylinder 2.3L to 10.6 liter engines which also competed in motorsport's with relatively good results. In 1910 rapid air starters were used for starting then charging in 1916 for electrical starters. In 1921 the company closed.
