The 'Bandini 1100' is the first car produced in 1946 by Ilario Bandini. The first ("La prima") car to carry the emblem Bandini.
During the World War II, Ilario Bandini took in pieces and cut his Fiat 1100 to hidden it to german requisitions. In 1946 reassembling, he had the opportunity to express its ability to computer and experiment with new solutions.
The Chassis
The frame Fiat spars steel, is modified especially in a wheel independent suspension with front bar. At the rear, hydraulic brakes drum are placed next to differential set to frame for suspensions are used elastic elements derived from a motorcycle Gilera, shock absorbers and a clutch system articulation derived from a device to close the doors of a pub.
The Body
The bodywork aluminium is performed by Piedmont if Rocco Motto. It is a monolithic body two-seater (boat) with an elegant, sinuous and sports at the same time. The great grille central vertical elements, flanked by large groups optical, streamline the broad front and define the lines that drop to the rear wheels affecting even the doors. Instead of windshield have chosen two "slides", the rear wheel are particularly pronounced, while the rear is low and tapered. The wheels are Borrani ray.

The engine is the original Fiat 1100 on which Ilario Bandini expresses its first processing.
