Grecav is an Italian automobile and farm machinery manufacturer from Gonzaga, province of Mantua. The company produces, among other things, light motor vehicles. The company was founded in 1966 by Cav. Bruno Grespan (current President) through the merger of two companies; Fratelli Grespan S.n.c. (founded in 1956) and Cavalletti S.n.c. (founded in 1922).
Grecav plant is located in the centre of the Po Valley (not far from A22 Brenner Motorway, about 60 km. southbound of Verona and 70 km. northbound of Bologna) where high skills devoted to engineering and production of agricultural machines and mini-cars has been developed in the last hundred years. Grecav is a very important manufacturing point , achieving a specific technical know- how, sophisticated engineering, resources and the most advanced industrial technologies applied to the automotive field.
Born from the merge of two companies ( one founded in 1922, manufacturing agricultural machines, the other in 1956, manufacturing vehicles bodywork) GRECAV becomes a leading firm in supplying components to the biggest agricultural and industrial brands like: CLAAS, SAME DEUTZ-FAHR, JOHN DEERE, MASSEY FERGUSON, CASE NEW HOLLANDE, PIAGGIO and IVECO. GRECAV plant has a covered surface of 35.000 m. square, and has a very qualified network of suppliers , whose 80% are in the neighbouring area.
