Florentia was founded March 11, 1903 in Florence and started its production with the Type 10 HP. This was a small car was built in 1906 with a two-cylinder engine and an engine capacity of 1.4 liters. Among the main technical characteristics included was a 3-speed transmission with reverse and a shaft drive. Towards the end of 1904, Florentia under license, began the production of the French Rochet-Schneider. This decision led to greater production and a profit increases. In 1906 the Rochet-Schneider models sold with their own developments of an engine with 10-28 hp. In 1910 weaknesses within the company began to show and in 1912 was financially forced to close.
