Mario Malanca began his entrepreneurial adventure in the world of mechanical parts production in his workshop Bologna and wheel hubs for motorcycles, in Following l Workshop Malanca also specializes assembly of motorcycles debuted in 1956 with the first model.
Following the industrial production, the realization of diversified models sold at national and international level, the trademark from Bologna landed in America and Asia. In 1960 went into production in a new department of the factory, engine manufactured and assembled by Malanca, while in the 1968 the Bolognese brand made its debut in world racing with the employment of two famous drivers: Walter Villa and Othello Buscherini. In 5 years the team won six championships Malanca Italian Marche in classes 50 cc cc and 60, July 15 1973 a Brno and July 29 of that year Imatra with the saddle Buscherini won two historic victories in the World Cup 125cc. Withdrew from competition due to the tragic death of the driver Romagna, in the 1976, the Malanca returned to racing in the 1985, participating (with little luck) to the world championship Class 250 with the pilot Stefano Caracchi.
In 1978, the son of Mario Malanca, Marco took the reins of the factory that became the Bolognese 'Malanca Motors SpA' following the listing on the bag, the production was focused on models sporting 125cc that reflect the protagonists of racing motorcycles on the road, mounted powerful bicilindrici in line with water cooling and were equipped with a brakes double disk front.
After the transfer of the factory in a new plant in Pila 6 to Pontecchio Marconi in 1986, the company closed putting an end to the mark Malanca.
