1953 - 1957
Gallmotor, founded by the two Italian technicians Galimberti and Chiarini from Padua in 1954, developed an innovative auxiliary engine. The engine was a 42-cc two-stroke motor. It could run on both diesel and gas because of the variable compression via a rotary knob that was adjustable from 1:8 to 1:18. While the world trade industry was enthusiastically awaiting, Galimberti and Chiarini waited until two years later to put the engine into series production. This was too late more the market and there was little success.
