MP based in Treviso, (the initials stem from an abviviation of Mauro Pedron the founder), put in place a engine system powered by gassogeno/gasogeno or solid fuel such as wood. Pedron in 1941, with the help of driver Alberto Comirato, applied this system to a Fiat 508 Mille Miglia C/1100. With it the same partnership decided to enter the long distance race from Turin-Milan. They set a record distance of 500 Km, driven only by gassogeno took 4 hours 41, at an average of 106.752 km/h. This rather unusual record is still unbeaten.
Pedron, driven more by passion for engines then by commercial interests, had to then abandoned the development of his product.
